Phyllis Marie Harmon “Momma Cummings”, 90, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo on Sunday evening, April 30, 2017. Phyllis was born to Myrtle and James Summerix on January 12, 1927 in Gaylord, Michigan. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Phyllis loved to play Bingo, and listening to country music. In her earlier days, she enjoyed camping and being outside. Phyllis loved to spend time with her family and grandbabies. She loved to laugh, and she loved life.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Charles Harmon Jr.; sons Cleo Cummings Jr., Jerry (Sue) Cummings, Jeff Cummings, and Jim (Tammy) Cummings; daughter Shelly Jones; grandchildren Luke, Jake, Joy, Amy, Ashley, Zach, Tiffany, Garrett, Bradie, Adam, Katie, Ashlee and Abby; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, and daughter-in-law Cathy Cummings.
Friends and family may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6 at Ellers Webster Street Chapel. A service will follow at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Paul Sutherland.
