Raymond Kenneth Tetrault, 68, of Kokomo completed his earthly race and found rest in the presence of Jesus on January 19, at home, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born June 7, 1957, in Syracuse, NY. In 1980, Ray married Robin Fonda in Baldwinsville, NY at the Wesleyan church where they met and served together.
He has pastored Grace Fellowship Church for over 25 years and has been serving as Men’s Chaplain at the Kokomo Rescue Mission. Ray was very involved in the running community, having served as president, vice president and chaplain of Club Kokomo Roadrunners. He launched Coyote Kids in 2004, a summer running program for kids of all ages, and the program still continues today. In recent years, he was a track and cross-country coach for Western Schools and a track coach for Kokomo Schools. He enjoyed working with his hands, remodeling homes, fixing cars and performing magic tricks for friends and family. He was a pizza connoisseur and had perfected his dough recipe over the years, making “Ray’s Pizza” a favorite meal for all who tried it.
Ray was a follower of Jesus and a true student of the Bible. He loved serving others with the grace and patience he so often preached about. He was the epitome of a good and faithful servant, who lovingly accepted and welcomed people from all walks and backgrounds.
