

Richard “Crazzy” Bruce Martin, 73, of Kokomo, passed away at home at 9:00 AM Thursday January 19, 2017. He was born April 18, 1943to the late George Martin and Phoebe (McGuire) Martin. He married Judith B. (Baldwin-Kissinger) Martin on July 29, 1995 in Kokomo, and she survives. Richard served in the United States Army. He retired from Wabash Valley in May 2010. He also worked on a riverboat for several years. Richard enjoyed camping and fishing. In his younger years he also like riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed sitting on the deck and feeding the squirrels and working his word find puzzles, and watching westerns on TV.
He is survived by his wife Judy Martin of Kokomo; two brothers, Jerry (Sheri) Martin of Fort Mohave, Arizona, Jack (Susan) Martin of Savenes France; two sisters Helen (Tom) Baugh and Ruth (John) Hoban, both of Kokomo. There are also three children Benjamine Martin, Michael J. Kissinger Sr., and Amanda (Jesse) Myers, all of Kokomo. There are 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews that all loved him dearly and his beloved dog Ruben.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, George “Bud” Martin Jr and Robert “Sonny” Martin; two sisters Rosemary Ward and Margaret Johnson; and a son Richard B. Martin Jr.
Funeral services and military rites by the U.S. Army and the Kokomo military rites team will be at 5:00 PM Tuesday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo. Chaplain Dennis Chapman will officiate. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Tuesday at the mortuary.
