Ruth Ann Owens

Ruth Ann Owens, 91, formerly of Kokomo, passed away September 12, 2019 in Salt Lake City, Utah at her daughters residence. She was born November 18, 1927 to the late John Richard Sampson and Martha (DeWitt) Sampson. She married Kenneth L. Owens in 1948 in Kokomo.
Ruth retired from Delco Electronics after 42 years of service. She enjoyed camping, fishing, putting puzzles together, playing cards and watching NASCAR. Her favorite game to play with friends and family was Yahtzee! Ruth was very lucky at the casino's, especially when she played the slots. She was a member at Main Street Church of Christ. Her pride and joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruth was a good listener, always giving the best advice. Her family and friends meant the world to her. They will miss her dearly.
Surviving her are her sons, Ralph Owens (Nadine), William Owens, daughter Patricia Parton (Joe), grandchildren Greg Owens (Anna), Christi Tolbert (Bob), Kristen Owens, Ricky Owens, Jenna Owens, Ashley Adams (Shane), and Lindsay Parton, Great grandchildren, Austin Tolbert (Bailey), Tiffany Tolbert, Hailey Owens, CJ Owens, Owen and Anna Adams, and one niece and two nephews.
Those preceding her in death are her parents, and her two sisters and four brothers.
A funeral service for Ruth will take place at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel Monday September 23, 2019 at 1:00pm. Visitation will be held prior from 11am to 1pm. Burial will follow at Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery.
