Sandra Josephine Brooks

She graduated in 1970 from Phoenix High School, Phoenix New York. She worked at Carpetland for over 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, the New York Times Crossword, Sudoku, and reading (Stephen King was her favorite author). She enjoyed fishing at different local areas, walking trails, sunbathing and reading books.

Sandy was the oldest for four children, Duane (deceased), Larry 68 years old and Cathy 66 years old. She gave birth to Chad Alan Pealo on April 20, 1971 in Oswego NY. She has two grandsons Chad Anthony Pealo, 33 years old and Bryan Christopher Pealo, 29 years old. She has 7 nieces and nephews, and hundreds of nephews, and cousins. Will Nichols, of Kokomo, was her fiance; they were together for 28 years.

Her parents Walter Henry Pealo passed away in 1982, and Mary Alice Pealo passed in 2000. Walter had one sister. Mary was the seventh of 23 children. Sandra's brother Duane passed away in 2012.

Donations can be made the to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Meals on Wheels, and Disabled American Veterans. Sandy passed away in the early morning of January 4th 2026.

Sandy was always the quiet and patient presence in the room, she never sought conflict but would speak her mind giving heartfelt honest advice to all that she loved. We will forever miss you Sandy.
