Shirley Jean Andrews

The family of Shirley Jean (Fivecoate) Andrews announces her passing on January 21, 2023 at the age of 88. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family. She was born January 17, 1935 to Ira Glen & Mildred (Mills) Fivecoate. She married Jimmy Andrews July 3, 1952 and was married 70 years. Shirley loved baking, canning, gardening and mowing her lawn. Above all else she loved caring for her family. Shirley is survived by her husband Jimmy Andrews; daughters Sheryl (Dick) Massey of Kokomo & Rhonda (Joe) Piker of Manteno, IL; grandchildren Lindsay (Nick) Day of Villa Rica, GA, Amanda Piker of Manteno, IL, Brad (Nikki) Piker of Manteno, IL, Marissa & Reanna Laughlin of Fort Wayne, IN, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and sister Linda Persinger. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Ira Glen & Mildred; daughter & son in law Regina and Rick Laughlin and brothers David & Robert Fivecoate. The family is thankful for Shirley’s granddaughter Amanda for staying with her day and night giving her so much loving care, Special friend Loretta Morris for her time and care of Shirley and Paradigm Health for the excellent service and care they provided. A private family service was held at Ellers Mortuary January 26, 2023.
