Thomas was born with Down Syndrome, but that never prevented him from living life to the fullest every day. He earned his high school degree, and eventually found employment at Bona Vista Rehabilitation Center in Kokomo, where he worked for 20 years. He enjoyed all types of art, as well as listening to country music and anything by Elvis. His favorite time of year was Christmas season, and he loved portraying Santa Claus. Thomas was most happy whenever he had the opportunity to socialize with people, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Thomas is survived by his siblings, Jennie Ferguson, Melvin Aldridge, Katherine Suttles, Herbert Aldridge, and Debra Holloway; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and Earl Aldridge; and a sister, Barbara Aldridge.
There will be a visitation for Thomas at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 13th from 11-3, with a funeral service immediately following.
Thomas’ family requests that memorial contributions be made to Bona Vista Rehabilitation Center in Kokomo.
