Vera Louise McClelland

Vera Louise McClelland, 86, passed away Saturday morning, March 30, 2019 at her home. She was born in Kokomo on July 31, 1932 to Lester and Eva (Cash) Mann. Vera married George Robert (Bob) McClelland on February 7, 1948. She was a cook for Northwestern Elementary. Vera had a wonderful sense of humor and loved singing songs around the house. A blessed and devoted mother, who loved playing with her grandchildren and the greats! She was a great prayer warrior and most recently attended Judson Road Christian Church and years ago was a member of Parr Methodist Church. Vera is survived by her daughter Brenda and Michael (Mick) Bunn, her son James (Jim Bob) McClelland, grandchildren Marques and Julie Bunn, Matthew and Tiffiny Bunn, Sarah and Levi Schave, Melissa and Jeremy Pratt, John Walker and Jesse John; nine great grandchildren and one brother William and Kathryn Mann. She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters Sally McClelland and Molly Walker, and also seven brothers and three sisters, (one of which was her twin sister Verna). Funeral services will take place Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 11:00AM at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel; 725 S. Main Street with Dr. Gary Carpenter officiating. Friends and family may visit from 10AM to 11AM prior to the service. Burial will take place at Crown Point Cemetery. Please, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to your charity of choice.
