Virginia Kathleen Stearns

Virginia Kathleen Stearns went to her Lord on May 26, 2025. Kathleen "Kathy" was born on March 2, 1937 to Harley and Arlee Cross in Albany, Kentucky. Her brother, Jimmy and her sister Monrie preceded her in death.

She attended Western Kentucky University and Trevecca Nazarene College in Nashville, Tennessee where she majored in education. In 1957 she married Keith Stearns, the love of her life. They had two children; Greg, who preceded her in death and Jamie of Sheridan, Indiana. She was above all a loving and devoted mother.

Kathy was devoted all of her life to her Christian faith. She attended Brookside Methodist Church of Kokomo where she taught Sunday school. She later became a member of First Nazarene of Kokomo.

A special thanks to Shirley Dicken, Janet Wise and Debbie Wilson who provided Kathy with care during her last years. This "circle of care" coordinated by her daughter enabled Kathy to stay in the home she built with her husband back in 1965.
