Willis Edward Hecht

Willis Edward Hecht, 94, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away May 22, 2024. He was born on November 12,1929 in Kokomo, IN the son of Russell and Elsie Hecht (Savage). Willis was one of thirteen children. On August 17, 1947 he married his "sweetsie pie" Juanita Hecht (Diveley).

Willis enjoyed hunting, fishing, USAC sprint and midget racing. In his free time he also enjoyed spending time at Nyona Lake. Willis especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved the companionship he had with his two dogs Rex and Ivy.

Surviving relatives include his wife Juanita Hecht of Kokomo, IN; son, Bill Hecht (Judy); daughter, Belinda Hecht both of Kokomo, IN; grandchildren, Brian Hecht (Carol); Dawn Haynes (Joe); Terry Chapel (Sharon); Amy Chapel; great-grandchildren, Brittany King; Heather White; Caitlin Haynes; Hannah Chapel; Joey Haynes; Olivia Gates; Jacob Haynes; Brandon Gates; Brailey Hecht; Sanna Carden; great-great-grandchildren, Jocelyn; Preston; Carter and Asher White; Mia and Millie Harris, and a special nephew, Kenny Hecht.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Brad Hecht whom he loved dearly.

Visitation will be 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Ellers Mortuary. Funeral services 2:00 PM Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Ellers Mortuary 725 S. Main Street Kokomo, Indiana 46901.
