Beverly Mae Raymond Carson, 91, died October 11, 2018 in Rancho San Diego. She was born to Forest and Maude Raymond on February 18, 1927 at Paradise Sanatorium in National City.
Beverly graduated as valedictorian of her January 1945 class at Sweetwater High School. She attended San Diego State, where she majored in vocal music and was a member of the Treble Cleft Music Society. She also studied at the University of Berkeley. She went to work for Rohr Aircraft Corporation after World War II.
Beverly had a beautiful soprano voice. She not only sang in high school and college performances, but throughout the County at weddings, funerals and other community and private events.
She was a member of the Chula Vista Community Church choir and later St. Luke's Lutheran Church choir in La Mesa, besides music Beverly enjoyed bridge and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Wallace (Wally) Carson and son Jack Lyle Carson and her sister Betty Joyce Tank. She is survived by her twin sons Michael Mather and Raymond Forest Carson of La Mesa and Daughter Trudy Alice Minkler of Visalia. She is also survived by eight grandchildren Sara, Ryan, Rachel, Eddie, Katie, and Chad Carson and Ricker and Charlie Minkler and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on December 8, 2018 starting at 10am,
Erickson-Anderson Mortuary in La Mesa.
Following the service, the family invites you all to lunch and an open bar
at the VFW in El Cajon at 136 Chambers Street.
