Jason Tayler Wells, beloved husband, father, uncle, son, brother, cousin, and friend, passed away on May 20, 2024. Jason is survived by Stacy & Riley, his beloved “girls,” sister, Dalise Jackson, uncle, Larry Wells, along with other siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jason was predeceased by his mother, Phylis Kay Pritchard, and his father, Ronald Anthony Wells.
Jason was born in San Antonio, Texas where his belief was, he would “bleed blue.” Although Jason spent his adult life in San Diego, CA, Jason was proud of his Texas roots and wanted to ensure Riley had that same pride. She came home from the hospital after being born in all UT gear.
A huge fan of the University of Texas (hook em’ horns) and the Dallas Cowboys, Jason looked forward to football season every year. Each Sunday was the same routine, Levi jeans, long sleeve white t-shirt, white Adidas sneakers, and his favorite Cowboys shirt.
Jason had a passion for cooking and grilling. Sunday mornings included baking biscuits and gravy, a competition of bakers would occur between Jason and Riley. Sunday night was grilling night, famous for his Smashburger’s and Philly cheesesteaks.
A graduate of the Universal Technical Institute in 1996, Jason spent his career in the HVAC business. He was a resolute and diligent man who strived to help his clients and leave each day better than it began. Everyone who knew Jason knew they could call on him for help anytime and that he would do anything to help anyone.
Not a religious man, Jason would never want people to mourn his loss. Instead, we will celebrate Jason’s life this July. Details to follow.
