

Mr. Tucker was born January 25, 1934 in Cullman, AL to the late Lester Tucker and Bertha Hayes Tucker. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was retired from the Troup County School System as a Bus Driver. His interests included Ford tractors, Nascar, Alabama football, and Westerns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan E. Tucker; daughter, Sidney Kay Smith; two sisters, Odell Nicholas and Earliene Tucker-Harden.
Survivors include sons, Steve (Waynna) Tucker, Tony (Kristie) Tucker, and Lynn Tucker; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Odis Tucker and Elizabeth Tucker Burgess; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Gathering of Family and Friends will be Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. The funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, December 23, 2015 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Bro. Howard Longshore and Bro. David Cross officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens with Military Honors.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to West Georgia Hospice in memory of Charles E. Tucker.
