With profound sadness, we share the news that Daniel Conner passed away on January 29, encircled by his loving family. Danny left this world courageously after battling an autoimmune disease few people understood. He will be remembered as a gentle warrior who bore the burden of his suffering to spare the ones he loved. He was born on March 13, 2002 in LaGrange, Georgia.
He was a cherished son of Tim and Julie Conner, a loving brother to Kara Conner, Melissa Drapeau, and her husband Nick, Amanda Miller, and her husband Johnny. He was adored by his nieces Daisy, Lily, Delilah, and Willow, and nephew James. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time with his family, and he was blessed with a large one. Danny also had a great love for animals and was preceded in death by his cat Mowgli, who died three days prior.
He attended Troup County High School in LaGrange, where he played soccer and ran cross country. He was a senior at The University of West Georgia, where he was on track to graduate this summer with a major in Political Science and a minor in Business Management.
Sports and competition, travel and adventure, shady restaurants with questionable health inspection records, also held a special place in Danny’s heart. His quiet persistence kept him committed to the goals he had set for himself. He had a gentle heart, never complained, and never said a bad word about anybody. Above all, he found the greatest joy in playing with his nieces. His resilience of spirit was an inspiration to all who were blessed to know him. Danny’s life is an excellent example of acceptance and inner strength.
