Dee McCormick Sr.

Mr. McCormick was born June 22, 1922 in Randolph County, AL, son of the late Charlie McCormick and Sally Sarah Simons McCormick. He had worked in construction most of his life and was retired from Security Forces as a security guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Harper McCormick, two sons, Dee McCormick, Jr. and Johnny McCormick, and several sisters and brothers.

Survivors include eight children, Jean (William) Norwood, Wayne (Linda) McCormick, Tommy (Evelyn) McCormick, Sandy Tucker, Joey Lee (Lisa) McCormick, Debbie (Charles) Bonner, Ronald (Geraldine) McCormick, and Wallace (Jackie) McCormick; 23 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; one sister, Inez Bolt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Dr. Mike Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Potash Cemetery, Roanoke, AL. The gathering of family and friends will be on Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.
