Don was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend who valued family above all else. He will be remembered for his steadfast presence, quiet strength, and the love he shared with those closest to him.
He is survived by his brothers, Paul (Sherry) Scruggs of Warm Springs, Georgia, Larry Scruggs, and David Scruggs; and his sister, Debbie Coleman. He is also survived by his children: daughters Dana (Bryan) Archer of Nicholson, Georgia, and Lisa (Richard) Benefield of LaGrange, Georgia; and his son, Don Leon Scruggs Jr. of Madison County, Georgia. Don was a proud grandfather to Tristan and Kaleah Benefield, and he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathy Yvonne Waldrop Scruggs.
The family will cherish his memory and the many moments shared with him.
