Elizabeth Wright Jones

Elizabeth was born September 11, 1960, in Preston, Lancashire, England. She moved to the US as a child and graduated from Pinson Valley High School near Birmingham, Alabama.

Elizabeth was a loving wife and a friend to so many. She never met a stranger and enjoyed having conversations to learn more about anyone she met. She loved to laugh, work in her flower garden filled with roses and lilies and make each day a new adventure. She was an avid amateur equestrian for many years and her love for all animals lasted her entire life. Elizabeth could find the joy in any situation, no matter the surroundings, and had a contagious love of life she spread to all those around her.

She is survived by her husband, David E. Jones of Pine Mountain, GA; her parents, James and Jane Wright of Birmingham, AL; her brother, James Andrew Wright with his wife and daughter Amelia and Melina; as well as cousins and other relatives in the UK and Australia.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in LaGrange, GA.
