Ellis "Jerry" Jeremiah Bray

Mr. Ellis Jeremiah (Jerry) Bray of LaGrange, GA entered into God’s presence on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from WellStar West Georgia Medical Center. He was born October 16, 1938 in Rockmart, Georgia the son of Frank Bynon Bray Jr. and Lula Mae Woodruff Bray. Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from Coca-Cola Enterprises and was a small business owner of Jerry Bray Wilbert Vault Company. Following retirement Jerry worked at Hoofers Restaurant & Gospel Barn and was the grounds supervisor at Rosemont Baptist Church. He was also a charter member of Rosemont Baptist Church where he and his wife, Carole, served in preschool, children and youth ministry for fifty years.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of fifty -two years, Carole Bray, son, Ben Bray, brother, Frank B. Bray III and his wife, Doris, sister, Barbara Power and her husband, Tom, and sister, Betty Russell, sister-in-law, Connie McLain, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great -great nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends and our canine companion, Cleo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marian and Gene Smith, father- in -law, Robert ‘Buddy’ Brooks, mother in law, Mattie and Paul Cliett, brother -in -law, Bobby Russell, brother in law, John McLain, great- great niece Kylie Beth Creed, and nephew, Robby Russell.

Services for Ellis Jeremiah ‘Jerry’ Bray will be held at Rosemont Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Adam Camp and Rev. Max McCord officiating. The gathering of family and friends will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Meadoway Gardens on Hamilton Rd.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Rosemont Baptist Church building fund in memory of Jerry Bray, 3794 Hamilton Rd, LaGrange, GA 30241.
