Erick was born February 20, 1981 in LaGrange, GA, the youngest son of Clyde E. Benefield and Terri D. Scarborough Benefield. He loved spending time with family, friends, and enjoying the simpler things in life. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He was handy with a wrench and loved to work on things. Erick was preceded in death by a brother, William E. Benefield.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Tristen Cade Griffith; daughter, Alexis Griffin; brother, Roy L. Jackson III; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 11:00am in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00am until service time on Wednesday.
