Gilbert Allen Lamb

Gilbert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sheila Lamb, of LaGrange, GA, his parents, Leland and Lois Lamb of Newnan, GA, and a sister, Linnet Lamb.

Gilbert worked for over 25 years at West Georgia Medical Center in Biomedical Engineering. He loved the Lord God, his family, botanical flowers, teaching young children in Sunday School, painting, and all things Florida and Hawaii.

Surviving siblings include a brother, Bruce Lamb, his wife, Mary and their three children, Aaron, April, and Jared; a brother, David Lamb, his wife, Cindy, their two children, Jeremy and Matthew and a sister, Gloria Manly. Surviving children include a son, Stephen Lamb, a son, Michael Lamb, his wife Mandy, a daughter, Rebecca Creel, her husband, Jason, and a daughter, Rachel Hand, her husband, Shane. Surviving grandchildren include Matthew Lamb, Nathan Lamb, Justin Lamb, Brayden Lamb, Ethan Lamb, Jonathan Creel, Elizabeth Creel, Jack Creel, Elijah Hand, and Allison Hand.

The family will have a memorial gathering and receive visitations from friends on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 5pm-7pm in the chapel of Striffler Hamby Mortuary in LaGrange, GA.

Out of respect for Gilbert’s favorite article of clothing, everyone is encouraged to wear a Hawaiian style shirt. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
