Wayne was born July 30, 1949 in LaGrange, GA, son of Herbert Edward “Ed” Waldrop and the late Velma May Waldrop. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Estes Waldrop. In Wayne’s younger days he loved going to horse shows with his horse “Lady”. And later in life he loved going to car shows and showing his 57’ Chevy, riding his Harley, and working in his garage. Wayne was employed for numerous years with Trackmobile and later retired from Knight Trucking.
Survivors in addition to his father, Edward Waldrop, include sisters, Barbara Price and Diane (Larry) Womack; brother, Gary (Tracy) Waldrop; two step-daughters, Donna and Melissa and their families; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens. The gathering of family and friends will be on Tuesday from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
