Ilona Rita McDaniel

Ilona was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found her greatest joy in caring for others. She had a nurturing spirit and a generous heart, always putting the needs of those around her before her own. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or simply her presence, she made those she loved feel safe, valued, and deeply cared for.

She is survived by her loving husband, John McDaniel; her grandson, Kyle Pickels; her granddaughter-in-law, Savannah Pickels; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Brantley Pickels and Presley Pickels.

Ilona’s legacy is one of compassion, selflessness, and love. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her memory will live on in the lives she touched so deeply.

She will be honored at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in LaGrange, GA, with visitation on April 9, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00 pm.
