John "Johnny" V. Bowles

Mr. Bowles was born November 18, 1947 in LaGrange, GA, son of the late Harold Bowles and Majorie Denny Bowles. He was a member of Teaver Road Baptist Church in LaGrange GA. Mr. Johnny had a life-long passion as a local car wholesaler. He was retired from the City of LaGrange, as a Superintendent of the Sewer Department. Mr. Bowles loved and cherished his family and was a very loving, devoted, and faithful husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Cindy Bowles; son, Richard Bowles; daughter, Lori and her husband, Danny Pullen; grandchildren, Caitlin Bowles, Emma Bowles, Maycie Pullen, John Pullen; all of LaGrange; two sisters, Sandra Bonner, Hogansville, GA, and Donna and her husband, Rick Dudley, Cartersville, GA; brother-in-law, Mike and Reba White; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. Friday, October 11, 2013 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel, LaGrange, GA with Jake Dudley officiating. The gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillview Annex. The family will gather at the residence, 103 Strathford Place, LaGrange, GA.
