Dr. Ringoot was born December 19, 1937 in Brussels, Belgium, son of the late Marcel and Jane Ringoot. He emigrated to the United States in 1949, at the age of 12. Dr. Ringoot graduated Dental School at Loma Linda University and practiced in Southern California for many years.
Survivors include his wife Gerda Ringoot of Hogansville; sons, Brent Ringoot and Kevin Ringoot, both of California; step-daughter, Denise (Loren) Giles of Hogansville; grandchildren, Hannah Ringoot and Cole Ringoot; sisters, Yvette (Jacque) Dufau of France, Elaine Ringoot and Yolande (Terry) O’Bannon, all of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will host a memorial service at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Fr. Theodore Book officiating. The family will receive friends at 201 Cooley Road immediately following the service.
