Lynda Janelle Chaney

Mrs. Chaney was born January 8, 1944 in Greenwood, S.C., daughter of the late Young L. Ivie and Estelle Griffin Ivie. She attended Baptist Tabernacle Church and was retired from West Georgia Health Systems as a nursing assistant. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Chaney was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy T. Chaney.

Survivors include two daughters, Wanda (Larry) McManus and Pam (Randy) Williams; two sons, Jimbo (Tammy) Chaney and Randy Chaney; four grandchildren, Melissa Seymour, Amy Turner, Lacy Williams, and Abbie Creed; five great grandchildren, Austin Cadwell, Aubree Cadwell, Hunter Browning, Hayden Browning, and Kelsie Creed; and one brother, Bradford Ivie.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Jimmy McMillian and Reverend Bobby Bozeman officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
