Marlene B. Brooks Rudd

Mrs. Rudd was born February 22, 1936 in Fairfax, AL, daughter of the late James Wesley Brooks and Helen Hill Brooks. She was retired from West Point Pepperell, Dunson Mill, after 19 years of service.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Eddie W. Rudd of LaGrange; three sons, Lonnie (Angela) Rudd of Valley, AL, Ronnie W. (Penny) Rudd of LaGrange, and Tony D. Rudd of LaGrange; three grandchildren, Wendy Fitzwater of Valley, AL, Kim Storey of Pine Mountain, GA, and Chancy Rudd of Valley, AL; two great grandchildren, Levi Fitzwater and Ivy Storey; and one brother, Eddie (Deane) Brooks of Mountain City, TN.

Graveside funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. (EST) Friday, July 23, 2010 in Shady Grove Community Cemetery, Opelika, AL with Reverend Brandon Brooks officiating.

The family will be at the home of her husband, Eddie W. Rudd, and will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association in memory of Mrs. Marlene B. Rudd.
