Nazie Geneva Whitlock

Mrs. Whitlock was born April 28, 1925 in Roanoke, AL, daughter of the late Charlie McCormick and Sally Simmons McCormick. She had lived in LaGrange most of her life and was Holiness by faith. Mrs. Whitlock was retired from West Point Pepperell, Dunson Mill Division. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whitlock was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Pierce Whitlock, and a son, Larry Wayne Whitlock.

Survivors include her four children, Linda Spradlin and her husband Ray of LaGrange, Catherine Jordan and her husband Eugene of LaGrange, and Lillie Frances Johnson of Valley, AL, and William Pierce Whitlock and his wife Joann of Lois, SC; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; brother, Dee McCormick of Glenn, GA; sister, Inez Bolt and her husband Howard of Roanoke, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 5, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Potash Church of God Cemetery, Roanoke, AL.

The family will be at the home of her daughters, Linda Spradlin, 801 South Fling Road, and Catherine Jordan, 108 Fort Drive, and will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.
