

Mrs. Knight was born July 22, 1939 in LaGrange, daughter of the late James Franklin Hunter and Mary Kate Allen Hunter. She had lived in LaGrange all her life and was the owner of Industrial Transit Company. Mrs. Knight was a member of Baptist Tabernacle Church, National Society of Daughter of the American Colonists, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revolution and the War of 1812, and the Business Girls League. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Knight and a step son, Robert E. “Peanut” Knight.
Survivors include three sons, Jamie Knight (Jennifer), John F. Talley (Linda), and Charles D. Talley; one daughter, Teri Floyd; grandchildren, Katie Knight, Jared Bryant, Kaylee Bryant, Aiden Bryant, Justin Talley (Beth), Lauryn Talley, Mary Floyd, Robbie Knight, and Kayla Knight; great grandchildren, Dawson Talley and Javid Coleman; and close friends, Joey Barnes, Joey Cotney, and Keigan Crowder.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, January 10, 2014 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend Donald Boyd and Reverend Jimmy McMillian officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be this evening from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M at the funeral home.
