

Pal was born November 19, 1925 in West Point, GA, son of the late George Barber and Cora Lee Hughley Barber. Pal served in the United States Marine Corp during World War II and worked many years as a Mechanic at Washington Naval Yard. He was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church and served as Deacon at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church in Washington, DC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Ferrell Barber.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian D. Barber, son, Alphonso Barber, daughter; Teresa (Fred) White, daughter, Camillia White; son, Kenneth Lee Barber; grandchildren, Alphonso Barber, Jr., Mark A. Barber, Dwight Dillard, Danny Dillard, Rapheal Dillard, Tenisha L. White, Sherrell Barber, and Kenneth D. Barber, Jr., Nakhia Barber, Tamiko Green, Josh Barber, and numerous great grandchildren.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be Friday, September 22, 2017 from 10:00am until 11:00am. Celebration of Life will be at 11:00am at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Pastor Willie J. Barber officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
The family will welcome friends to join them at First Baptist Church in West Point for fellowship.
