
“Pete” as he was affectionately known was born April 28, 1938 in Nordheim, TX, son of the late Antonio Longoria and Anita Martinez Longoria. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Pete owned and operated Longoria Trucking Company. He was proud of his work with Underground Construction on projects such as Atlanta Airport, Atlanta Marta Station, West Point Dam and the Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, Utah. Pete was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a great husband, wonderful grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Alexander Longoria; Lupe Pena (Clarita), Ben Longoria (Mary Alice), Edward Longoria (Nancy D.), Raymond Longoria, and Ramiro Longoria.
Pete is survived by his loving wife, Ina Ann Thompson Longoria; sons, Cody Longoria (Rosi Mary Longoria), Pedro M. “Pete Jr.” Longoria, and Edward Longoria; daughter-in-law, Vicki Longoria; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Floretino Longoria (Herminia “Minnie”), Tony Longoria (Hope), Esmeraldo Longoria, Natalie L. Felan (George) and Simona L. Pena (Ernest); sisters-in-law, Rebecca Longoria and Linda Gorza Longoria; several other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held 1:00pm Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Father Tim Gadziala officiating.
