

Mrs. White was born June 25, 1932 in LaFayette, AL, daughter of the late Andrew Johnson and Bluddie Lee Phillips Johnson. She was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church and an honorary member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. White was employed with Days Inn as their front desk clerk before retiring and after her retirement she worked for Big Lots for 12 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Douglas White.
Mrs. White was a wonderful mom and grandmother to many children throughout the years and was a ray of sunshine to many of her friends. She loved all the family gathering and holidays and enjoyed sitting around the campground with her family and friends. One of her most memorable memories was celebrating 50 years of marriage with the love of her life. Mrs. White loved her Sunday School Class and her favorite thing to do was handing out peppermint candy.
Survivors include four children, Barbara Lewis, Vickey Pierce (Gene), Rickey White, and Martha Carwell (Buddy); grandchildren, Christie Dixon (Bryan), Stacey Lewis (Robert Weems), Jennifer Paepcke (Jon), Brad Pierce (Danielle Wilson), Carla Rushing (Joey Hart), Doug White (Heather Hawkins), Amy Mains (Shon), Bruce Wilson (Nicole), and David Carwell (Wendy); great grandchildren, Matt Jorgensen, Nick Dixon, Samantha Dixon, Jack Paepcke, Julia Paepcke, Dylan Pierce, Aubrie White, Lucy Marie Hart, Dakota Wilson, Bailee Wilson, Jordan Meridith, Justin Meridith, Andrew Askew, Ashlee Mains, and Joshua Carwell; and special family member, Leigh Wilson.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Rosemont Baptist Church with Reverend Adam Camp and Reverend Max McCord officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlaw Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Leukemia Foundation or Rosemont Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Mrs. Ruby Nell White.
