Sandra Elaine Gamble

Mrs. Gamble was born January 20, 1948 in LaGrange, daughter of the late Otis Clifford Jones and Emma Ruth Mercer Jones. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was retired from the Troup County Tax Commissioners Office. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald D. Jones, a son-in-law, Gary Walton, and a niece, Lisa Wilson Bryan.

Survivors include her husband, Jesse Gamble; daughters, Debbie Walton, Gerrie Lynn (Darren) Wiker, and Judy (Chris) Swinford; son, Jerry “J.L.” (Cheryl) Norton; sister, Jean Brisky; grandchildren, D.J. (Kayla) Smith, Tony Smith, Dylan Wiker, Emily Wiker, Kari Walton, Kayla Walton, Haley (Ben) Prescott, Brent (Erin) Steele, Katie (Scott) Terry, Dylan Swinford, Jacob Norton, and Lillian Norton; great grandchildren, Cadence Smith, Gabby Butler, Skylar Smith, Julieann Smith, Kinley Steele, Harper Steele, Flynn Steele, Miles Steele, Austin Kennedy, Nathan Terry, Brody Terry, Addie Terry, Payton Terry, and Kamden Brewer; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 14, 2016 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Rev. Jody Mitchell and Rev. James “Lum” Moon, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens. The gathering of family and friends will be on Sunday from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

The family will be at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Gerrie Lynn (Darren) Wiker, 201 Woodfield Circle, LaGrange, GA 30240.
