

Mrs. Traylor was the daughter of O.F. and Lorayne Browning was born August 24, 1918 in Greenwood, SC. She was a native of Greenwood until her marriage to James Edward Traylor, Jr. of LaGrange, Georgia. She attended Lander University in Greenwood and was a graduate of Greenwood College of Commerce. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Traylor, Jr., and her son, James Edward Traylor, III.
In her earlier years she was active in civic, community and church affairs. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and a founding member of the Reviewers Guild of LaGrange.
Mrs. Traylor was fortunate to have compassionate care from her beloved friends, Helene Dennis and Bobbie Jean Gates. Local survivors include Mrs. Julia Traylor Dyar, H. Grady Traylor, and Mary Nell Traylor; as well as Mary Ann Traylor Hudson and Isabelle Badger Traylor. Mrs. Traylor is also survived by cousins, W.L. "Red" and Sara Hopson.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the Traylor Family Cemetery, near Gabbettville, GA, with the Rev. Gene Davis officiating.
