

Mrs. Burnham was born August 13, 1921 in LaGrange, daughter of the late James L. Hines and Addie McClain Hines. She was a member of Cedarcrest Community Church (formerly United Congregational Christian Church), where she was choir director for more than 20 years. Mrs. Burnham retired from Callaway Mills / Milliken, where she worked as a payroll clerk and supervisor for many years. She went on to also retire from the Belk’s office, Mansour’s office and as a hostess with Jimmy’s Restaurant. Mrs. Burnham was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard Lee Burnham; a grandson, Keith Allen Lipham; a great-grandson, Caleb Kinnersley; and by her siblings, Terrell Hines, Jimmy Hines, Louise Harris, Sue Eady, and Bessie Gray.
Survivors include her children, David Mark (Joy) Burnham and Beth Burnham (Walt) Stewart, all of LaGrange; grandchildren, H. B. ‘Rocky’ Lipham of Carrollton, Steven C. Lipham of Atlanta, Jana Stewart Kinnersley and W. Tyrone Stewart, all of LaGange; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will gather to receive friends at Cedarcrest Community Church, (2380 Roanoke Road, LaGrange, GA 30240) on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Cryptside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in Shadowlawn Mausoleum with Rev. Paul Botica, Dr. Paul R. Baxter, and Rev. Paul Blair officiating.
Flowers will be accepted or those desiring may contribute to Hospice LaGrange in memory of Tillie H. Burnham.
