

The apple of our eye she never met a stranger. She loved her life and all the children she taught at school. Ashlie was born in Lake Charles and lived here all of her life. She graduated from LaGrange High School and received her teaching degree from McNeese State University. Ashlie taught school at R.W. Vincent and J.J. Johnson. She worked as a phlebotomist and she was a graduate of Stage One. She was a member of the Turner’s Syndrome Society. Ashlie was known to her friends as a fashion diva who loved to shop. She was very devoted to her family and loved them with all of her heart. Ashlie was a loving and devoted wife, daughter, sister and friend.
Survivors include her loving husband, Chris Duplechin; her parents, Tony and Lisa Dansby; brother, Jeremy Dansby; paternal grandparents, Rex and Frances Dansby; maternal grandmother, Wilma Sullivan; and her beloved puppies, Beaux and Biscuit all of Lake Charles. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Leonard “Slug” Sullivan.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles from 3pm-8pm and will resume Friday from 9am until service time at 11am. Reverend Andrew Martin and Reverend Robbie Bacon will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
