Beanna Matthews

Lake Charles - Beanna "Ms. Bea" Matthews, 75, passed away February 8, 2012 in her residence.

She loved the outdoors, gardening and shopping. She was a care giver to many and a very memorable person. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, god daughter and the Payne family.

She is survived by her sons, Carl Dwight Matthews and wife Stacy of Iowa; Bruce Wade Matthews and wife Candice of Ada, Michigan; daughter, Lacitta Matthews Lavergne of Lake Charles; nieces; Jacqueline Johnson and Deborah Collins, grandchildren, Andre’, Marcus, Alexandria, Douglas, Wilfred, Carl, Lacitta, Simone’, Sydney, Gerayln McCall, Seth, Jon and Jazzlyn, great grandchildren, Jamya, Jazzlynn, Alyssa and J’kayla, god daughter, Raegan Brooks. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Angelina Guillory, brothers, Leo, Leroy and Martin Guillory, sister, Mary Eva Fobbs, godchild, Kerry Fobbs.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Deacon Ray Granger will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
