Carol J. Shirley

She was born in Port Arthur, Texas and lived in Mamou, Louisiana. Before her retirement she worked as a cashier for Market Basket. Carol was a member of the Pentecostal faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.

Survivors include her sons, Keith Owens of Slidell, LA, Phillip Owens of Plaquemine, LA and Mark Owens of Westlake, LA; daughters, Samantha Charlie of Mamou, LA and Connie Choate of Beaumont, TX; sisters, Melda Hooper of Topsy, LA, Delora Durant of Monett, MO, Veronica Wilson of Breaux Bridge, LA and Deborah Cormier of Church Point, LA; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 3pm to 9pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Visitation will resume Friday from 9am until service time at Moss Bluff United Pentecostal Church at 10am. The Reverend Gerrad Pugh will officiate.
