Cathy was born on October 15, 1940, to Cathryn Corman Morris and Marvin Galloway Morris, Jr.
She was the heart of her family and a light to everyone that was fortunate to know her. Completely selfless, always compassionate, and endlessly accepting, she had a rare gift for making one feel seen, valued, and loved exactly as they were. Her kindness knew no boundaries, and her generosity of spirit left a lasting impression on all who crossed her path.
She found her greatest joy in being a mother and grandmother. Her love for her children and grandchildren was unconditional and unwavering, and she poured herself into caring for them with patience, much warmth, and devotion. Family was the center of her world, and she created a home filled with comfort, love, and laughter.
To many, she was more than a friend – she was a second mother, a trusted confidant, and a steady source of support and encouragement. She had an extraordinary ability to welcome others into her life and make them feel like family. Cherished by her many friends and loved deeply by all who knew her, her beautiful legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched through her compassion, wisdom, and love.
She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered for the love and care she gave so freely and the example she set through a life lived for others.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Galloway Morris. Jr. and Cathryn Corman Morris, and by her husband, Frank Stuart Robbins, Sr.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sisters, Mary Morris Reid, Nancy Morris Sanner and Bonny Morris Templeton; her children, Peter Michael Mahony, Jr. (Jackie), Susan Mahony-Gauthreaux, Patrick Mark Mahony, Catherine Mahony Bellinger (Greg), and Sarah Mahony Cappel (Ned); her grandchildren, Alexa, Lauren, Raney, Joshua, Zoe, Mia, Peter, Marley, and Max; her great-grandchildren, Dawson and Porter; along with several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Cathy on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church.
