Cecile Ruby Steinmetz

She loved gardening, especially red roses. She also loved to visit family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Bernell Conner and wife, Patricia of Singer, LA; brother, Frank Benoit of Grand Lake, LA; grandchildren, Ricky Conner and wife, Regina of Singer, LA, Robert Troy Conner of Pensacola, FL, David Keith Conner and wife, Vickie of Cameron, LA, John Patrick Conner of Singer, LA; great grandchildren, Allen, Amy, Zach, Nicolle, Jackie, James, David, Victoria; great, great, grandchildren, Aiden, Noah, and Parker, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Robert Steinmetz; 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

Her funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Rev. Vincent Vadakkedath will officiate. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Marsh Cemetery. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles, 11 a.m. til 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. til time of service.
