Charles was born December 1,1956 in Bogalusa, LA to Harlon and Roxie King Fleming.
Charles was a humble Christian man who diligently led his family to the Lord by the way he lived his life. He loved carpentry, tinkering with electronics, listening to and recording music. He had a passion for playing many musical instruments. He was a hands on Paw Paw but he would never divulge his favorites. He was an amazing repairman. There was nothing he couldn’t fix. He loved his job as an Electrician for LADOTD for the past 11 years. His co-workers were like his family.
Those left to cherish Charles memory are his loving and devoted wife of 23 years Tracie Fleming; son, Chase Fleming of Lake Charles, LA; daughters, Crystal Fleming, of Lake Arthur, LA, Carley Fleming of Lake Charles LA; bonus daughters: Devon and husband Don Briscoe of Moss Bluff; and Misty Wilmore of Hayes, LA, 13 grandchildren; brother, Donald Fleming of Bogalusa, LA; sisters, Debbie Constanza of Albany, LA, Sandra and husband Jamie Carrier of Bogalusa, LA, and Linda and husband Cooper Crain of Holden, LA.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents Harlon and Roxie; brothers Roger and Jerry Fleming.
A celebration of life gathering for Charles will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00am at the Church of the Promise, 350 Hwy 165, Iowa, LA with the celebration of life service beginning at 11am. Fellowship to follow after celebration of life until 1pm. Officiants will be Pastor Dwayne Daigle and Pastor Rick Batchelor.
On behalf of the family and Pastors of the church those who will be attending the services are asked to wear masks for everyone's safety and observe social distancing. Those who have flu like symptoms or a fever are asked to not attend.
