David was born in California and had lived in the Lake Charles area for the past five years. He retired after 36 years of service as a Manager of Supply Chain Planning from Northrop Grumman. David was a second degree black belt in Taekwondo, he loved his guns, playing golf, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his loving wife, Cindy Ballinger; daughters, Jennifer Clements and husband Rich of Palmdale, CA and Traci Velasquez and husband, Mike of Victorville, CA; mother, Barbara Ballinger of Quincy, IL; sister, Lynn Drahnovsky and husband Robert of Quincy, IL; and grandsons, Erik and Lance Velasquez. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Ballinger.
