To know David was to love David. His twinkling blue eyes and big smile warmed the heart of all who were blessed to know him. David moved to Lake Charles from Houston with his family in 1960 and attended LaGrange Senior High School where he met and fell in love with Sally, the love of his life. He and Sally were “high school sweethearts” who married on June 25, 1966. Together they reared their three children and enjoyed every minute together. David loved to go to Destin, Florida and to Big Lake with his family. He also enjoyed listening to country music. His wife, his children and his grandchildren were the greatest joy and most important gifts in his life.
David graduated from LaGrange Senior High School in 1962 where he lettered in football and was famous for being the first to kick field goals with his bare feet. He received a football scholarship to Southeastern Louisiana College where he lettered in football and graduated with a degree in business in 1967.
