

Born on September 19, 1947, in Winnfield, Louisiana, Donna lived a life rooted in faith, strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was known for her warm heart, generous spirit, quick humor, and the genuine love she shared so freely with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Donna found joy in time with family, celebrating holidays and birthdays, and pouring her love and faith into her children and grandchildren. Her compassion and unwavering support will be deeply missed and remembered forever.
A longtime member of First Baptist Church in Moss Bluff, she faithfully served by playing the piano, singing in the choir, and teaching Sunday school. A homemaker for most of her life, she devoted herself to caring for her family, especially her cherished grandchildren. Her remarkable culinary talents brought family together around the table, creating meals and memories her children and grandchildren will treasure forever. She also found joy in painting, traveling adventures with her husband, shopping with friends and family, and, most especially, sitting on her porch with a cup of coffee, sharing stories and laughter with the people she loved most.
She is survived by her husband, Wesley Goos; her children, Leslie Goos and wife, Sarah; Shelly Birmingham and husband, Robert; and Christa Gaspard and husband, Steve; eight grandchildren, Devin Owens, Cole Goos, Caleb Goos, Mason Welch, Nicholas Welch, Andrew Welch, Lexi Welch, and Alise LaFleur; and siblings, Gary Gorham, Stuart Gorham, Sharon Venable and husband, Bobby.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mathew and Llewelwyn "Lou" Gorham, and her brothers, Jimmy and David Gorham.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Donna’s life, beginning with a visitation on Monday, May 25, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. and a funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at Hixson Funeral Home. Interment will be at Goos Cemetery in Moss Bluff.
Donna’s legacy of love for her family, compassion for all, and love of God will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
