Elden "Bee" Foux, 83, passed away on October 22, 2024, in his home surrounded by family. Bee was born on June 12, 1941, in Lake Charles, LA to the late Irene and John Foux. He lived most of his adult life in Iowa, LA where he worked in industrial construction and helped build most of the bridges in the area.
Bee was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was known by many as a second dad. He loved cooking, fishing, mowing his yard, and especially spending time with his family and friends. He could put a smile on your face with his cheerful grin or his mischievous personality. Those who knew Bee will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his late wife Nelda Lynn Foux and daughter Angela Lynn Mortazavi.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters Anita Sanders (Tom Jr.), and Michelle Musgrove, son-in- law Dr. Ali Mortazavi, granddaughters Hannah Rao (Jacob), Addie Musgrove, Laily Mortazavi, Maddie Sanders, and great grandchildren Nathan and Emmy Rao.
Following Nelda’s death, he married Jean Lewis Foux. They had many happy years together. Bee considered Jean’s children and grandchildren as his own. His stepchildren left to cherish his memory are Karen Day (Clyde), Lonnie Lester, Tina Smith, and step-grandchildren Rebecca Wheat, Crystal Williams, Chad Day and Katie Smith.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at J.E. Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles with his funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Lilies at the funeral home. Rev. George Glass and Rev. Don Snider will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lake Charles.
