Gregory Samuel Walden, age 16, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Gregory was born on January 11, 2007 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Gregory loved to play video games with his sister and brother-in-law, ride golf cart at his granny's around the pond, fishing, throwing the football with his dad, watching his favorite team the Kansas City Chiefs, his fur babies, Baxter, Jabba, Lexi, his parakeets, his turkeys and chicks!

Gregory was preceded in death by grandmother, Geraldine Pontiff, uncle, Michael Walden, and aunt, Marsha Walden.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Greg and Sandy Walden; one sister, Samantha Clark and her husband, Eric; grandparents, Lettie and Larry Cooper; grandfather, Dudley Pontiff; grandfather, Dave Walden (Farrah); aunts and uncles, Jeanie Bartholomew (Dwight), Joanie Moore, Dudley Pontiff Jr (Mandy), Sandra Pontiff, Jody Pontiff (Melissa), and Shelly Burns (John); best friends, Haden Ogea and Westin Leonard; and numerous cousins and other extended family members.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at J.E. Hixson Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Gregory's life will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2023 in the Chapel of Peace at J.E. Hixson Funeral Home, Lake Charles.
