

Henry was born in Jennings, La, and lived in Lake Charles for many years. He was a retired Baptist minister and served as a pastor in Forest Hill, Cheneyville, Cameron, and Grand Chenier prior to his retirement. Rev. Henry was a member of Olivet Baptist Church of Sulphur.
Rev. Henry is preceded in death by his father, Lester James Prentice, and mother, Mary Emma Prentice; brother, John Riley Prentice; sisters, Eleanor Deaton of Beaumont, TX, Dorothy McCullough of Coushatta, La, and Theresa Hickman of Lake Charles.
Rev. Henry is survived by his wife, Sarah Deal Prentice of Sulphur; sons William Randall Prentice and wife Tammy of Pollock, La, and Thomas N. Prentice and wife Dawn of Heath, TX; daughters Susan Key and husband Randall of Sulphur and Julie Prentice of Sulphur; and his 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday October 13, 2017, from 9am-10am at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Service will be held October 13, 2017, at 10am at Hixson Funeral Home.
