

Irene Boudreaux, 84, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in her residence. She was an active member of Our Lady Star of the Sea in Cameron where she sang in the choir. She and her husband were devoted servants to their community, and were voted Family of the Year through the K.C.'s, as well as their church. She was an excellent cook and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Calvin Boudreaux of Cameron; daughters, Glenda Thibodeaux of Lake Charles, Phyllis Smith and husband, Patrick of Lake Charles; sons, Clay Boudreaux and wife, Carol of California, Craig Boudreaux and wife, Bobbee of Lake Charles, Carroll Boudreaux of Moss Bluff; sisters, Mary Sauer of Alabama, Grace Vinson of Lake Charles, Nellie Trosclair of Lake Charles; brothers, Louis Boullion of Cameron, Paul Boullion of Tennessee; grandchildren, Erick Thibodeaux, Chelsea Boudreaux, Cody Boudreaux, Megan Boudreaux, Chase Boudreaux, Cory Boudreaux and Sophia Thibodeaux, Andrew Thibodeaux, Cameron Thomas, Matti Smith, Houston Smith; great granddaughter, Jaelyn Thibodeaux; special friend, Jackie Trouard of Lake Charles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay Boullion and Eleanor Peyres Boullion; brother, Jules Boullion and one granddaughter, Jaime Boudreaux. Her funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Burial will be in Consolata. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and again on Saturday from 8 a.m. til time of service. Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Friday evening.
