

Ivan Joseph Harmon, who resided in Lake Charles, Louisiana was 35 years of age. He was born on November 20, 1989 in Beaumont, Texas and peacefully departed this life on November 12, 2025 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. In his final hours, he was surrounded by his mother, his Uncle and Aunt along with many close friends. He was lifted up in prayers by the countless people near and far whose lives he touched.
Ivan graduated from South Cameron High School in 2008. He attended Sowela Technical College from 2008 - 2010.
His professional career included: Personal Trainer, Banker, Estimator, Car Sales, Service Advisor and Automobile Transporter.
Ivan was goal-oriented, driven and focused on inner transformation. For him, life represented inner discovery. He was passionate about Comic books, Playstation Gaming, K-Pop, Anime and Disney Movies (with free critical analysis for those serious audiences who appreciated a deeper level of understanding). His personal knowledge of SuperHero movies was engaging along with an appreciation for magical series, trucks, and Nike Shoe releases. Retail therapy brought endless hours of joy.
His charisma drew people to him and his loyalty and dependability were traits that extended an invitation that was welcoming and inclusive to all. Ivan’s love for communication and socializing were conducive to enjoying a meal, lending an ear or offering advice.
Ivan was gregarious, witty, well-studied and brutally honest. He was an adventurer who embraced travel, (Atlanta, Cabo San Lucas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.) Memorable moments were the selection of Godfather to Parker Landry and Lennon Pradia and the move to Houston, Texas.
Ivan is survived by his mother, Drusilla Jones; grandmother, Mary Cockrell; and brother, Tory Harmon. He is also survived by his aunts Carol Smith (Michael), Helen Reed (Eddie), Anne Roberts, Leven Harmon, Lorina Turner, Hollis Pierce-Jenkins; his uncles, Oscar Harmon (Anna) Bryant Bartie Jr., and Walter Bartie; his godparents Raymond LeBlanc Jr. and Lorendia Savoy.
He leaves behind his special cousin Evan Smith (Ashley) and an amazing circle of friends including Dylan Morgan, Breanna LeFevre, Brandi Reed, Kristyn Saltzman and Cameron Pradia, as well as other special friends/cousins:(You know who you are)
He was preceded in death by his father, his maternal and paternal grandparents, and many other loved ones who welcomed him home.
The family will welcome friends and relatives at J. E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 1:00 pm A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am. Father Matthew Cormier, of Christ the King Catholic Church, will officiate.
