Jimmis Marie Knapp

Mrs. Knapp was born in Eunice, LA. and was a resident of Lake Charles for over 80 years. Jimmis was a devoted wife of Verner Paul for 67 years, together they nurtured many. No one was a stranger in their home.

She is survived by her husband, Verner; daughter, Karen Granger and husband Donald; grandson, Robbie Paul Austin and wife Nicole; their children, Kaia, Asha, and Jonah; granddaughter, Kellie Moss and husband James; their children, Noah, Ian and Emma; grandson, Andrew Austin; nephews, Gordon and Garland Reed and their wives Gathy and Marlene; niece, Moria Lane Bessette and husband Harvey; other dear relatives include, Eddie Austin and wife Carolyn; Andrea Prejean, Dee Dee Vanbergen and her son Andrew; Tobie Hogkins and husband Mike; Tara Demarie and husband Paul. She is preceded in death by her parents, Saby and Bertha Reed; brother, Carey Reed and wife Louise; sister, Nora Miller and husband Fred.

Her service will be Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. and resume Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until service. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
