I am deeply saddened by the news of Jock's passing. It has been quite some years since I last saw Jock at a family reunion and I admired his gentle, loving spirit. As a cousin from Pineville, I spent several summer holidays visiting him and his family in Sulphur. I can remember that he and his sister Julie always beat me playing checkers. Always. More recently I "discovered" Jock's art online and greatly appreciate the artistic talent that he generously shared with the world.

Uncle Jock was a real kind hearted person. I had lived with him for about half of a year in 2010. He opened his home for me and welcomed me with open arms. We had alot of deep talks about my family history and other things about life. For the holidays my mom, Mikko, and I always went to his house. And we had good times. I know that he is in Heaven now and he will be deeply missed. We all love you uncle Jock and cant wait to see you again when we all go to glory!

One of my fondest memories was when the children were little. Jock decided to teach Damon to take pictures with a camera. I think he was about 2-years old. It was funny but he well. Jock’s kindness was a testimony to his faith. He blessed our family with a painting to help raise funds for suicide awareness after we lost our youngest son last year. He will be missed and his tablet will live on through his art and his children and grandchildren.

Roger brought Jock here for a few days (B'ham, Al.). It was an absolute pleasure to meet him and spend some time with him. His loss is a tragedy, and the one painting I have of his will continue to be treasured. I can only imagine the hole left in your lives by his loss, and will continue to wish good memories of happy times with him will fill some of the emptiness. His wonderful paintings improve lives of those lucky enough to have them. Wishing you all safe and well, and hoping happy memories will grow and live in your thoughts to relieve some of the pain of his absence.
